Patients’ charges from 24th April 2023
Emergency dental treatment – £25.80
This covers emergency care in a primary care NHS dental practice such as pain relief or a temporary filling.
Band 1 course of treatment £25.80
This covers an examination, x-rays (if necessary), preventative advice, and a scale and polish if required.
Band 2 course of treatment £70.70
This covers everything listed in Band 1, plus any further treatment such as fillings, root canal therapy and removal of teeth.
Band 3 course of treatment £306.80
This covers everything listed in Bands 1 and 2, plus crowns, dentures or bridges.
Remember, You DO NOT have to pay for NHS dental treatment if, when the treatment starts, you are:
- Aged under 18
- Under 19 and receiving full-time education
- Pregnant or have had a baby in the previous 12 months
- On Income Support
- On Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- On Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
- On Pension Credits
